Deb is a traumatic brain injury survivor, artist and mathematics professor at Carnegie Mellon University. She is releasing a new book, “Threads Around the World,” on Dec. 15 that explores the beauty and history of textile art from 25 international cultures. Deb underwent three brain surgeries as a result of her injury and because of her long-term recovery, she truly sees art — and the world — through a unique lens. She is a fascinating woman, and I think you would enjoy talking with her.
